Yellowing of Skin and Eyes (Jaundice)
One of the most visible signs of liver damage is jaundice — a yellowing of the skin and the whites of your eyes. This happens when your liver can't properly process bilirubin, a yellow pigment formed by the breakdown of red blood cells. When the liver is damaged, bilirubin builds up in your blood, causing the yellow discoloration. If you notice a yellowish tint to your skin or eyes, see a doctor immediately.
